做判断题时,会先圈出题干的限定词(all / some / may / compared with)
TRUE/FALSE/NOT GIVEN · YES/NO/NOT GIVEN
The museum's new wing was funded by a private donation.
题目 A private donation paid for the museum's new wing.
考官在考 同义替换确认(funded by ↔ paid for;new wing 原词复用)。
Many students preferred online learning.
题目 All students preferred online learning.
考生最易掉进 some→all / usually→always 的坑,看到 all / every / none 先回原文核对范围。
Some researchers suggest that a certain chemical may contribute to memory loss.
题目 The chemical is the only factor that causes memory loss.
NOT GIVEN
原文 The company invested heavily in renewable energy last year.
题目 The company plans to expand its renewable energy business next year.
Summary / Note / Sentence / Table / Flowchart
Actions were taken to ensure the city's inhabitants could survive a long-term siege.
题目 Measures were implemented to help the city's residents withstand a prolonged blockade.
Photosynthesis is the process by which plants convert sunlight into energy.
题目 The process of ________ is how plants turn sunlight into energy.
The new policy reduced traffic in the city centre, but air quality showed little improvement.
选项
A) The policy greatly improved air quality.
B) The policy reduced city-centre traffic.
C) The policy was unpopular.
Paragraph B: Smith argues that urban sprawl is inevitable. Paragraph D: Jones, however, claims it can be reversed by policy.
题目 Who claims urban sprawl can be reversed? → Jones
X uses solar power and is built underground; Y relies on wind energy and sits above ground.
题目 Which design uses wind energy? → Y
⑤ List of Headings(段落标题)
The Amazon rainforest plays a crucial role in regulating global carbon levels. Through photosynthesis it absorbs ~2 billion tonnes of CO2 annually. Deforestation there accelerates the greenhouse effect.
The process of photosynthesis in tropical forests. 对:The Amazon's role in global climate regulation.
Many people believe renewable energy is too expensive. However, recent data show its long-term cost is lower than fossil fuels.
Renewable energy is cost-effective in the long run.
看到 however / despite / a common misconception,主题句往往在它后面。
Which paragraph contains…
Which paragraph contains a description of a historical event that led to the museum's founding?
A By the early 1920s, the gray wolf had disappeared from Yellowstone National Park. Bounties and systematic hunting, encouraged by the federal government, had driven the species to local extinction across most of the American West. For decades the park's ecosystems were studied without this apex predator present.
B In 1995, after years of scientific debate and legal battles, the U.S. government reintroduced wolves to Yellowstone, relocating packs from Canada. The decision was controversial: ranchers feared for their livestock, while conservationists celebrated a long-awaited restoration of natural balance.
C Almost immediately, scientists observed a "trophic cascade." With wolves hunting elk, the overgrazed vegetation along riverbanks began to recover. Young trees and shrubs returned, creating habitat for birds and beavers, which in turn altered the physical shape of the landscape.
D The presence of wolves also changed the behaviour of other animals. Elk began avoiding open valleys and river margins, staying instead on forested slopes where they were harder to ambush. This shift in habits, rather than the number of kills, proved to be the chief driver of ecological change.
E Not everyone considers the programme a success. Some economists point to continued livestock losses, and debates persist over how many wolves the region can sustain. Managing the population remains a delicate balancing act between ecological goals and human interests.

C → iii 段落讲植被、鸟类、河狸的恢复(recovery of plants and wildlife),是 trophic cascade 的结果。
D → vi 段落讲狼如何改变了 elk 等猎物的活动习惯(reshaped the habits of prey animals),不是讲数量。
Not everyone considers…a success"是主旨。
解释 :photosynthesis → process by which plants…
